Enterprise crew assigned to a task in a minining colony which has been affected by a monster which killed 50 people.
Name of the episode:
The Devil in the Dark seems miners (which killed thousands of Horta) despite the “monster Horta” killed 50 of theirs.
Miners collect some nice spheres of purple silicon balls, or destroy those without guessing it alive. Then mother of the eggs takes revenge to protect their species.
Mr. Spock unveils the mystery with mind meld. And Horta writes her message to stone with corrosive acid.
The story development was an inspring one indeed. And it concluded with a symbiotic collaboration with the “monster” specy “Horta”s. Sometimes peace means understanding what is important to (whan we call) monsters, and taking a mutual menefit. And the process of unveiling this called as diplomacy. So we’re living in a world of understanding each other to annihilate each other, so this diplomacy is hardly and understanding based one.
Some kills thousands with intention and accounts for their loss of 50. Like in the episode, the urge to understand “monster” might be a need. And even after collaboration monsters will be collaborators. So its a mind-opener episode. That’s no surprise that this episode gets one of the highest scores.
